It provides three major fixes:
1) If you are having problem fetching the most simple MMS containing ONLY text and in these cases have a crash then this is for you
2) First attempt to fix the problem of receiving multiple copies of the same MMS. If you have that problem then this is for you to try.
3) When editing settings sometimes the old setting came back when walking around in the settings view
